Question: What should I do with my copy of Breaking Dawn!?
This horrible piece of literature shouldn't be allowed anywhere near my collection of books!. I wasted time and energy reading this crap and I am beyond irritated! Should I burn it!? Send it back to SM and write my thoughts on the inside cover!? any other ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Dont burn it!.!.!.return it! Get your money back and buy a book worth your brain cells! also take time out to sign the petition that is going around that asks Stephenie Meyer for an explaination about some of the aspects of Breaking Dawn!. I dont have the link right now but if you look in my past questions, you will find it!. Sorry that you had to read that book!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I personally liked the book!. But to answer your question!.!.!.!.!.donate it to a library or Goodwill!. There might be others like me that would like to read it!.

However, I want to take this opportunity to say something I've been wanting to say for a week or two!. So, this goes to everyone (not necessary the person asking the question) If you don't like the book, that is fine!. I have heard some good arguments for that!. But if you think it is bad enough to be burned, then you have not read enough books!. It is by far not the worst book out there!. It is a decent book when you compare it to some other stuff out there!.

also, authors don't always hit the mark with every book!. Just like actors don't always have great works either!. (Sean Connery had Zardoz) However, they learn and grow from even their worst work!. With movies, you can walk out but you can't get your money back just because you didn't like it!. You paid to watch it, and that is what you got!. Just like you can't legally buy a dress, wear it, and bring it back for a refund (eventhough I know people who try this)!. Companies are going to stop allowing returns on books that have been read soon!.

As for returning it for a refund, you are hurting a lot more then just the author!. It is a chain!. The author, agent, publisher, book warehouses, stores and employees, and so forth get paid with the revenue from the books sold!. So, please don't try to return it!. You'll just hurt a lot more people then you realize!. You may think 'it is just one book', but it can add up!.

If you want to tell SM what you think, write her a letter!. But before you write the letter, let the story sink in and the anger subside!. This will allow you to back up your argument which will be more helpful to the writer!. You might surprise yourself that it isn't as bad as you originally perceived!. It is easy to get angry when a story doesn't go the way you would like, regardless if it is a good piece of work or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Think of it this way - if you didn't like it (don't worry, I didn't like it either) rather than destroying it, which implies that it has some hold over you that you need to get rid of, use it for something constructive!. Sell it, perhaps, or give it away!. Then go write a huge blog post about how much you hated it!. That way, you've gotten rid of it and vented your anger and disappointment, without destroying something that somebody else could benefit from!. Make sense!?

Just, the act of burning a book is rather!.!.!. hotheaded, and ignorant, and just plain distasteful!. As for sending it back to the author with angry comments in it - does she really deserve that!?!? No matter how much it sucked, she obviously did the best she could, and it's not like she forced anyone to read it, anyway!. Why make another person unhappy just because you are!?

Well I finished it about ten minutes ago (I only got it a few days ago due to our dear friend the Post Office, and it was DAMAGED!.) I wish I could scream, but it's nearly twenty after 3 a!.m!. and my mother would kill me!. It was absolutely terrible!. We got everything we thought we wanted (sort of) and a Loch Ness Monster to boot, yet I feel empty other than bitter anger, and shock that I was weaseled out of hours of time and fifteen bucks!. Burning it may make me feel better!.
Tomorrow, I'm burning it, I believe!. Or at least chucking it off of some high surface with a highway or water under it, if my parents won't allow me to start a small fire!.
Do you have a burning place in mind!? I'd meet you!.
(Sorry to all who still love Twilight!. No offense, I just didn't care for it!. At all!. Don't bite my head off, please, dears!.)

Edit: Oh, I agree that SMeyer deserves respect as much as any other published author does!. She wrote a book, did what made her happy and got paid for it!. But just because she's happy, rich and respected doesn't change the fact that I didn't care for Breaking Dawn!. That's my opinion, you're welcome to your own!.
I do like the whole charity thing, but is that really sensible, seeing as my cover is damaged!? That wouldn't be right!. Maybe I'll recycle the pages, and then burn the cover!. Be eco-friendly, you know!. But I've got to do something with pyromania, right!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I understand you didn't like the book, but SM put a lot of work into it, so I wouldn't send it back to her!.!.!.

If you hated it that much you might as well burn it!.!. or throw it in a river!.!.!. or make some money out of it by selling it on ebay/amazon!.!. or give it to charity-even if you don't think anyone will enjoy it, maybe someone less fortunate will enjoy reading it just to read- its up to you, but these were just a few suggestions!.!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

We should get together,
And burn ours!.
Along with my other books of the collection!.
I've kept them because they look quite pretty in a group, all shiny and black!.

But I agree with you on being a terrible piece of literature - it's simply not literature!. The woman writes like an avid fanfic novelist!.

But, I only bought my a few days ago, I might return it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Breaking Dawn is an excellent book that deserves respect, even if you don't like how it ended!. Stephenie Meyer wrote it how she wanted it to end, and she deserves respect!. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you should deface it in any way!. If you don't want it, sell it on ebay or at a garage sale!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why don't you give it to someone who would like it!? Don't you have any friends who like the series!? Or donate it to your local library, they are probably desperate for copies!. Or give it to a charity shop!. Certainly don't burn it, that would be a wicked waste and a very selfish thing to do considering how many people are keen to read it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd love to see you write something that can overtake the rankings of Twilight series!. Why did you even read it in the first place then just come on here and say crappy things!? Give it to someone who will appreciate it and not badmouth the author!. Stephenie wrote it the way she wanted to end, and we can't do anything about that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yayay!
i think that burning it might be a good idea, chucking it in the sea of a bridge might work as welll
but omgg sending it bak 2 stephanie meyer with ur opinion on the cover wood b even better
she needs 2 no that she is not that great a book, just had "edward" (eww) who all the girls fell in love with, wishing they had a reltionsip like that
mann its trulyy badd!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you should take the time to re-read it and realize that, as predictable and corny as it was, it was an amazing ending to the series!.

If you hate it that much why not give it to Goodwill!. Let someone who can appreciate it get it!. Stephenie ended it the way she wanted to end it!. She deserves respect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sorry that you hate it!.
I didn't mind it but wasn't exactly happy how it all ended!. I decided to keep my copy anyway because well!.!.!.I don't like tossing books away, it's not very wise!. I say go write on a paper and stick it in the book so you remember!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I wish that we (everyone in America that wasted hours of our lives reading that book) could all get together in a SM protest!. I would say give it away but to encourage someone to waste their energy would be vengeful!. Chunk it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just give it to me if you want to!.!.

I appreciate BREAKING DAWN!.
and i like to have a copy!.
It's better if it is with someone who can appreciate something rather than someone who keeps on complaining!.!.

=DWww@QuestionHome@Com

I would either send it to SM or return it where you bought it!. Burning it might be pleasurable, but it sure is a waste of money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tear out the pages and use them as toilet paper!? Use it to smash bugs!? Use the pages as rolling papers!? Give it out on Halloween!? Shove it up your anus!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

you know what i NEVER understood!?
why people who don't like the twilight series still read it,
and then complain about it to the rest of us!.
get over yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Excuse me!
I think you need to get a change of attitude!
I thought it was awesome!
No need to ruin it for everyone else!

Yeah, you wish it sucked!.
