Question: Harry Potter fans: You get to kill one character, who!?

Include your reasons for which character you think deserves to die and in what way!. You can't pick a character who is already dead such as Nearly Headless Nick or Sirius, although you can if you so wish chose a character who got a crap death like Tonks and Lupin!.

Ron Weasley: Should have died, it was totally unrealistic that all 3 of the golden trio survived without anything really bas happening to them!. It would have been much better if he had died saving Hermione instead of Rowling writing that Mary Sue ending!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, to be honest, I was seriously disappointed that Harry himself didn't die!. Rowling set everything up perfectly for him to die (so it didn't surprise me too much that she DIDN'T kill him off; surprise ending and all), but to me, the story would have ended a lot better if he'd ended with the series!. It would have lent a lot of poignancy and depth to the legacy of his character; Harry would have been the perfect tragic hero!. I was very unhappy that after following a series that matured so fully as it progressed, I was spoon-fed some romance novel, happily-ever-after, slapdash ending!. It didn't ruin everything, but it definitely let me on an irritated endnote!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Harry Potter!. Definitely!. He is 'amazing' even though he isn't actually that good at magicness and he hasn't worked to get where he is!. He only thinks about himself and his character is extremely boring and repetitive!. He's very predictable and relies on everyone else around him to save him, and they rely on him too much!. He's a very boring character, and (apart from the inevitable mourning), the Harry Potter books (well the last few) would have been much better without him!. I think he should be killed by someone like Lucius Malfoy in a duel!. This would prove how he actually wasn't that good!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ginny deserved to die more than Fred!.

She was told to stay where she was and threw a spoiled little princess tantrum, then she was asked to step out and come right back and she ran out into the battle - delighted!.

Harry Potter didn't lead an army because it was cool and so that everybody would think of him as a grown up!. Ginny Weasley ran into a battle where people were dying everywhere and was practically skipping with glee!.

She should have been killed if she thought it was a fun place to impress the grown ups with her flying snot spell!.

I did like that she didn't acomplish anything in the battle though, and especially that her Mummy had to save her from Bellatrix Lestrange!.

Ginny wasn't good enough or mature enough and just because she's a girl it's no excuse for putting other people at risk just to prove you can handle yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i'd kill Lucius Malfoy (no offense), not only because he was a jerk, but also because it would have helped the Malfoys see the light earlier!.

Lucius didn't help Harry nor Voldemort so killing him would further emphasize two things:
1) Voldemort's ruthlessness as Lucius used to be a higher level death eater!.
2) If Lucious was killed, then Narcissa and Draco would have seem more regretful and more at the mercy of Voldemort!. The Malfoys' conversion would have been more in character!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hepzibah Smith, the lady who had Slytherin's locket and Hufflepuff's cup!. She will need to die before Voldemort procured a job from Borgin and Burke's!. If Voldemort needed a artifact from one of the founders, he would have to use those two relics!. Unless there are more that we don't know about, Voldemort would have had a significant problem creating Horcruxes!. He could have settled for a less historic item, but I can't remember if there were any more relics from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I read the announcements of the deaths of Tonks and Lupin in 'HP and the Deathly Hallows', I did wonder if it was written that way in homage to JRR Tolkien, and the various summarily described 'died in battle' characters at the end of 'The Hobbit'!.

Luna Lovegood expiring in Neville Longbottom's arms having failed to betray him even though subjected to the cruciatus curse would be interesting to write!.

I'm not saying she 'deserves' to die, just that there are great dramatic possibilities there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Rowling should have killed umbridge!. I don’t know why that hag was missing in the final scene!. Anyway, my answer to your question is snape!. I know he got killed but I don’t like the way he died!. I would have liked him to go down in a fight!. I would have liked harry to find out the truth before snape’s death!. Then there could have been a fight between snape and voldy…it would have been interesting to let harry watch snape fight voldy to save him!. Hmmmm!.!.!.!.!.I really believe Mundungus Fletcher should have died!. This sounds cruel, but he kind of deserved it!.He stole from Sirius's house!. It is his fault Harry almost had his wand taken away from him in the 5th book, because he wasn't there when he was supposed to be and the Dementors came and yada!.!.yada!.!.yada!.
He is a coward, which is basically the reason Mad-Eye died!.
I just don't think he should have gotten away with all that!.

Slughorn - I found him extreamly irritating! The way he parades around the classroom sniffing everything and stuffing himself with crystalised fruits! Just poison him, like Ron was in Book 6!.

If I couldn't get Slughorn, then Percy Weasley!. I hated his pompous, stuck-up attitude! He should have died instead of Fred!.
