I'd suggest Yearly Harvest by Ryan Callaway!. Personally, I think the best books out there are the ones that take REAL people, who live normal everyday lives, and putting them in situations that may be extraordinary!. That's sort of what Yearly Harvest is!. It's very realistic and true to life, and when it isn't, it's believable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Non fiction books has to be fact!. it has to be realistic, but completely true!.

Some of my favourite books include the Harry Potter books, Emily of New Moon ( it's about a girl who goes to live with her very strict aunt and keeps getting into trouble), Black Beauty (it's about a horse who keeps being sold to different people, and he gets really sick at one stage), Call of the Wild ( it's about a dog who keeps being sold to different people and eventually makes friends with a wolf) and Market Blues ( It's about a boy who can go back in time by playing his trumpet!. He gets in a lot of trouble and makes a lot of friends!. Beware of swearing)!.

Those are pretty good books, but that's just my opinion, everyone's different!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Non-fiction is just that: not fiction!. If there's any untrue elements in the piece, the whole work is considered fiction!.

Depending on what kind of books you like - my wife is currently reading Mothers of Invention by Dr!. Drew Gilpin Faust!. She completed This Nation of Suffering by the same author last week!. They're both about the American Civil War - Mothers of Invention is about southern women and how they dealt with the ravages of war heaped upon themselves and their families!. My wife and I are both very much into the Civil War - she has four ancestors who were Union soldiers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should try Sophie Kinsella books, there pretty girly, but I find them hilarious, I can never put it down once I've started reading! Definitely try them! I also like Steven King books, especially Desperation!. also I read The Ruins a couple of months ago, do you know the film!? The book is a million times better, pretty gory, but again I couldnt put it down!

Oh also, I love the books about the magdalene asylums in ireland, especially "Kathy's Story" It is so so sad and interesting that this actually went on, until not that long ago, horrendous, but a really good read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't go past Harry Potter!

also some of my other favourites are:

Cry of the Cat by Emily Rodda (crime mystery)
Watchers I!.D By Peter Lerangis (Blurb on the back of the book: Nobody knows who the watchers are!. But they are around us!. They observe us!. They see the things we can't see!.!.!.

Who is Eve Hardy!? Is she the only child of a normal pair of parents!? Or is she the offspring of a bizarre experiment that has gone horrible wrong!? Eve doesn't know!. But if she doesn't find out the truth, it will destroy her!. Time is running out!.!.!.)

Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett (blurb on the back of the book: On a warm October night in Chicago, three deliveries were made in the same neighbourhood!. A plump tangereen moon had just risen over Lake Michigan!. The doorbell had been rung at each place, and an envelope propped outside!.!.!.The same letter went out to all three:

Dear Friend,
I would like your help in identifying a crime that is now centuries old!. This crime has wronged one of the world's greatest painters!. As those in positions of authority are not brave enough to correct this error, I have taken it upon myself to reveal the truth!. I have chosen you because of your discriminating eye, your intelligence, and your ability to think outside of convention!.!.!.Although you may never meet, the three of you will work together in ways none of us can predict!. If you show this to the authorities, you will most certainly be placing your life in danger!.!.!.

The letter was not signed, and it had no return address!.

Anyway, those are some of my favourite books!. I hope I helped!

Happy Reading!

Like Shelly, You can't get past Harry Potter, which is my favorite!.
Other books can be Dan Brown's, Agatha Cristie's and Arthur Conan's!.
Well, I am really sorry to say that its your husband who is winning!. Look at Agatha Cristie for example!. All her stories are 'non-fiction', but they aren't necessarily true, you know!. Same goes for Arthur Conan Doyle- they aren't always true!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

My personal favorite recent non-fiction author is George Brennan, Jr!. He has two great humorous non-fiction reads that I highly recommend:

Bats, Brats, and Stats
Excellence: Sons of Xavier Forever

Your husband owes you dinner! Non-Fiction has to be true!. Fiction can have realistic elements or be based off of realistic elements!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Non-fiction is the opposite of fiction!. As far as I know, it is based on actual facts as the author perceives them!.

All of the classics are great, of course, like Austen and Dickens!. I'm not really a non-fiction person!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
