Question: Has Stephenie Meyer commented on the negative feedback Breaking Dawn has recieved these past weeks!?
I was just wondering!. Is she aware that so many people hate it and/or are extremely dissapointed!? Has she said anything about the dissapointments in any interviews!?

If I were her, I'd be embarresed!. *Opinion alert- no flames please* The events in Breaking Dawn were absolutly fan-fiction-esque and a terrible way to conlcude the story with a fairytale ending!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with your opinion of the book and yes, S!.M has commented on the fans' reaction!. I was disappointed with the book!.

Stephenie said that everyone was never going to be happy and she hopes, (like the role of Edward being given to Robert Pattinson) that the fans will warm to Breaking Dawn!.

I thought it turned into a normal, boring happy ending, and everything was too smoothly resolved!. It just changed too much!. Edward and Bella used to be headed towards becoming a legendary coupl like Romeo and Juliet, but now, what makes them different to anyone else!? They are the same species, and are married, with a child!.

And, the anti-climactic battle scene that never happened! What was with that!?!
This is one of many interviews with S!.M: http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=yARJGzbcM!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think she did in this interview with MTV,she said it wasn't possible to make everyone happy and she totally has a point!.She also said that she is a "happy-ending type of girl" so I guess if she is satisfied with the book then all the true twilighters should be too!.I would rank BD as my second Fav but everyone is titled to their opinions!.If she wanted everyone to be happy then thats her choice and she shouldn't be embarrassed because all her books are top sellers!.She is one of the best authors out there and I mean its your right to think that BD wasn't all that great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

true it has gotten really mixed reviews but if you researched just a bit on Google fan sites have voted BD to be their favorite or 2nd fav*after twilight* book from the saga!.

i enjoyed the book personally the only problem which did get to me was all the build up to that "battle" to find it evaporating into nothing!.c'mon now i know im not the only one who would have loved to see the volturi fight!but then again this is all my own opinion that i will stand for!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think all writers of books that are so famous receive criticism, no one can please everyone and whatever she wrote would have upset someone or someone wouldn't have liked it!.
Personally i thought after so much waiting for it, it was a disappointment and it is likely the people working for SM know about the criticism and are advising her on what to put in Midnight Sun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yup!. She's definitely aware and has indeed reacted to it!. However the!.!.!.uhm, fans, i think reacted rather!.!.!.harshly to it!. I pity her!.

im not sure but your described the book perfectly!
fan-fiction like!
great! i was thinking of how to describe how everything just tied up a little too neatly

i mean was it really necessary that everyone was happy!.!. even charlie
!.!.i mean sue!!!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

i bett she is!. many people have interviewed her about that!.
i would be embarrassed too, but shes a big girl, she can take it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I dunno, I would like to know this too!. Maybe she doesn't care!. People still bought the book I guess!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do feel sorry for Stephenie because some of her fans have become seriously harsh!. I'm sure she knows all about it but what can she do!? Write a dozen different ends to satisfy everyone!? Even then you would have some people complaining!. I can understand if they didn't like it but I think they have went way overboard!. This is a book not some war!. My personal opinion is, if they didn't like it so much and felt it was missing something!. Why don't they write a book with what they felt needed to be said!. And I don't mean that in a sarcastic way at all!. It was like they were expecting some great literary novel that would go down among the classics!. It was suppose to be an entertaining fun read!. The book also was a romance, fantasy romance!. Stephenie in early interviews about twilight let that be known by saying it was a love story and that she liked happy endings!. Romances no matter what genre, almost always ends with the girl happy and getting everything!.
I think a lot, not all, but a lot of the negative feedback is coming from the young teens who could relate to the very whinny and complaining Bella in the previous books!. I was a teen once too, been there, so don't take that comment personal anyone!. In Breaking Dawn, Bella finally had found a place where she felt like she fit in, where she understood the bigger picture of loving others and the power behind it and family!. Her growing into a women changed a lot about the story!. I don't think they could relate to that just yet!.

The book did have a different feel about it!. It was easy to read and the words flowed, but her writing style did seem different!. The baby thing for me, was a bit creepy!. I would also have liked to see a little more action and conflict but over all, I still like the series!.
New Moon is still my LEAST favorite of them all!. And I hope all this negative feedback hasn't caused Stephenie to give up writing!. Some of my favorite authors throw out a book or two that I don't like and think, "Where did this come from!?" It doesn't mean I want to ditch them all together!. I'm looking forward to reading Midnight Sun and what other books she has plans for!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
