Question: I need some help what books should I read!? 10 points!!!!!?
Hi,

Okay I am in a dilemma! lol!.!.

I need some really, REALLY good books!. I will be leaving for vacation in about 2 weeks, for about 2 weels and need to order books in the next day so they get to me before I leave!.

So can you help me out!?

I know some people have lists and that's okay but on your list what is the one book you can not, not recommend!?

Like you have to recommend the book to everybody lol!.!.!.

lol If that makes any sense!

So basically if you had to choose one book to recommend what would it be!?

Just give the title, author and details about the book would also be great! :-)

Feel free to recommend anything but I have previously read books like Looking for Alaska, The Truth About Forever, The Calder Saga, The McKentrick Series, The Tea Rose, The Winter Rose, and a ton of others lol!.!.!.

Thank you!

EASY POINTS
10 points to the best book! lol!.!.!.

I will chose best answer!

Here are some good sci-fi ones that have deeper meaning than alien invasions and such =p:

Old Man's War - John Scalzi
In the future, senior citizens can enlist in the Colonial Defense Forces in return somehow becoming young again!. Part of the deal is that they will never be allowed to return to Earth, so the recruits really dont know what they are getting into!. The main character joins and finds becoming young again is much more than gene therapy and he takes a deep look into the ethics of the CDF and his own humanity!. Very similar to Robert A!. Heinlein's classic, Starship Troopers, which is not at all like the movie and a look into politics!.

A Scanner Darkly - Philip K!. Dick
Bob Arctor is a drug dealer of the lethal Substance D!. Fred is a deep undercover narc, his identity unknown even to his superiors!. Fred is assigned to Bob Arctor, who's increasing use of Substance D gradually splits his mind that he forgets that Bob Arctor and Fred are one and the same!. While the book gets confusing and seems to be random in the middle parts as Bob's drug use escalates and you see into his mind, spiraling out of control!. Everything comes together in this tragic, sometimes dark comedy as you learn the sinister truth about Substance D and have a good look into the dreary lives of addicts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It changes sometimes, but right now the book I can't not recommend is Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson!. Technically Mistborn is a trilogy, but most people just call the first book Mistborn or Mistborn 1 (it's actually called The Final Empire)!.

Mistborn is about a teenage girl named Vin!. She's grown up on the streets, constantly running with her abusive older brother, at least until he disappeared!. The only advantages she had is her Luck, which allows her to manipulate people's emotions!.
A powerful Mistborn named Kelsier takes an interest in Vin because of her Luck!. He tells her that it's actually Allomancy (an awesome magic system Sanderson created for this series), and that she too is a Mistborn!. He takes Vin under his wing!.
Kelsier and his friends--because hard as it is for Vin to believe, Kelsier and his gang ARE friends--get together for the ultimate heist!. They are going to steal a precious metal from the Lord Ruler, who has ruled over the world as a tyrant god for a thousand years!. Kelsier hopes to defeat the Lord Ruler as an added bonus, using a previously unknown metal!.

Anyway, it's awesome! My favorite character is Elend!. ^^ I say that because he's not so important a character in the first book, so he doesn't really need to be in the summary!.!.!. but I think he's awesome anyway!

Brandon Sanderson is very open with his readers!. He likes to share things with them, so he has a lot of information on his website!.

There's a sample of the first chapter too!. ^_^Www@QuestionHome@Com
