Question: Grapes of Wrath!?!? movie and book the same!?

Is there a scene in the BOOK grapes of wrath by john steinbeck where the Joad children are facinated by a toilet and a shower!? This is in the movie, but i cannot find it in the book!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In chapter 22, Ruthie and Winfield think they have broken the toilet when they flush it, and that is as close to fascination as I think you are going to get, besides remarks about how clean the family is now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not that I recall!. They probably just put it in the movie, to symbolize how poor the Joad family was!. Movies tend to take liberties since they only have so much time to tell the story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
