Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
What do you mean by requested!?

I like Pierce and Nimmo, so you and I probably have similar taste, so I'll recommend a few of my favorite authors:
Nancy Farmer
Charles de Lint
Terry Pratchett
All three write fantasy, and Farmer has written at least one SciFi (The House of the Scorpion, which is excellent)!. Charles de Lint is one of the pioneering authors of urban fantasy, although he prefers to describe his work as "mythic fiction," and has written traditional fantasy as well!. Terry Pratchett's work is funny, quirky, and often has a deep meaning underneath (all three do, actually)!.

Egad! Almost forgot Lois Lowry - not the Anastasia Krupnick series, which is for younger readers!. The ones I recommend are The Giver, Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Gossamer!.

When it comes to Terry Pratchett, of the ones I've read, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents is best; the Tiffany books are very good too (the first one is my favorite of the three), but "Maurice" made me cry, and that's hard to do (especially if it's also going to be something I'll want to read again and again and again)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the alchemist by paulo coelho, the harry potter series by j!.k!. rowling, the black stallion by walter farley and johnny tremain by esther forbes!. you might also like victoria holt!. try any of her books!. she also writes under 2 other pen names!. jean plaidy and phillipa carr!. i read farley, forbes and holt when i was young!. i graduated high school in 1975!. i have always liked to read!. now i work at night and i am either on here answering questions or reading!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Young adult!.!.!. That's a pretty broad spectrum, but let's see what we can do!.!.!.

If you like fantasy, there's Dennis McKiernan (okay, largely a Tolkein ripoff, but very easy read), and most of R!.A!. Salvatore's lexicon!. Funny fantasy would include Piers Anthony's Xanth series, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, or Terry Brooks Magic Kingdom For Sale- Sold! Lois Lowrey did a trilogy of quasi-perfect future books with The Giver, Gathering Blue, and The Messenger!.!.!. These are what come to mind in the moment, I'll have to get back to you with more!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitley read The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, it's one of my favorite books!. I like Scott Westerfield's books like Peeps!. Tithe by Holly Black, I heard books by Sarah Dessen are good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
