sounds like they are fighting fantasy books !.!.!.i used to have loads of them!.!.!.!.!.!.they were started by an author called !.!.!.!.!.!.ian livingstone!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
you use pencil, eraser and dice to play them!.!.!.!.!.there great and can take you away from this world if you've got a good imagination!.!.!.!.!.
