Question: Should i let my little sister read twilight!?!?!?

my little sister is 10 turning 11 in september!! shes going into 5th grade and she's pretty mature!!! sometimes she can get all playful and not serious but shes overall mature!!! she has read sisterhood of the traveling but only the first 1 and she took it pretty well! should i let her read the rest!?!? the most informative 1 gets 10 points!!! Absolutely not!.
There is a lot of sexual material in there that is too mature for an 11 year old in my opinion!. Not only that but the characters are NOT good examples of healthy people!. They have unhealthy relationships, are shallow and self centered, and don't behave maturely!.

I have an 11 year old sister and I will not let her read the books!. There are SO many other great books out there that are good for all ages, I'd rather she not pollute her mind with Twilight!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think she could handle Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse!. But Breaking Dawn is a little more for young adults/adults!. It has sex, a girl getting pregnant, having the baby, and other stuff that's not suitable for young girls!. But Twilight doesn't have anything bad in it!. There's cusses words, but like you said your sisters mature for her age!. I think she could handle Twilight!. But you never know it might not hurt for her to wait until she's 12!. I'm just saying it's what the age group is (12 & up)!. She might argue with you, but you need to tell her you don't think she's old enough yet to read the Twilight!. I was 17 when I first read it!. But let her read a few chapter's first and see what her reaction is!. If it seems like she can't handle it, then don't let her read it!. She might make a fuss but just explain that she's not ready for that type of book (Twilight) just yet!. Tell her to give it a year, a few mouths, I mean the book isn't going any where!. Twilight is an amazing book!. The first one is really clean!. The second, too!. The third, however, has a part in it slightly inappropriate, but not too bad!. The fourth is where it gets slightly mature!. If your sister is ready to take on the fourth book soon, then it's fine!. Besides, you can always have her read the first one and see if she likes it!. Yes you should because The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is in the same genre as the Twilight saga!.
If she can handle it, then she should be able to read them!.

Stephenie Meyer herself said she has gotten postive feedback from as young as 8 year olds to I think it was 86 year olds!. The age range is tremendous for this book!. I say let her have a go at it!. If she's what you say she is then I'm pretty sure she will enjoy it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The First Two books are good for her age, eclipse was a little bit mature but DO NOT let her read breaking dawn, it was way to explicit, i'd say like between PG-13 and R!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
