I don't know about seconds, but I read around a minimum of 50 pages a day!. A can easily finish books with 500+ pages in less than a week!.

It depends entirely on the book!. I can read an average paperback novel in under three hours, and once read the whole of Lord of the Rings in two sittings, but for some of my books it's about an hour a paragraph, if that!.
(you don't get through Heisenberg's "Physics and Philosophy" the way you do a romance or an adventure tale!.)

It took me about two years, and a considerable amount of paper, to read "Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid" but that was well worth doing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everyone reads differently!. What i recommend you doing if you are reading a little slow is to read a lot of books!. After you read a lot of books like classics like Charles Dickens, then you start reading a lot faster and before you know it, you might be reading so fast, it will surprise you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Usually it depends on the book!.
If it is very interesting and i want to find out what happens next, i read quickly, but still try to take in the story!.
On the other hand, if i have to read a book because of school and its not that interesting, i may take longer, also because we have tests on them so i need understan whats happeningWww@QuestionHome@Com

That's very specific, so I wouldn't know!.
But if you're finishing a novel in less than 2 days, then yeah you're pretty fast!.
