Question: I want to read a retelling about Beauty and the Beast!.!.!. any suggestions!?

I am in love with the classic fairy tale of the Beauty and the Beast, and Beauty by Robin McKinley was an AMAZING book!!! And I was just looking for a book that folllows the Beauty and the Beast plotline!. Please if anyone has any suggestions tell me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Robin McKinley's actually done two different retellings!. Beauty is my favorite, but if you love the story, the other, Rose Daughter, is well worth checking out!.

The others that come to mind are Beast, by Donna Jo Napoli, and Beastly, which the other commenter mentioned!.

There are a couple classic novels that follow somewhat similar lines, too, particularly The Phantom of the Opera and The Hunchback of Notre Dame!. Though neither of those ends as happily!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh, I love Beauty and the Beast! My favorite fairytale and I'm obsessed with the retellings!.

Anyways, I would suggest anything by Donna Jo Napoli!. She has a B&B retelling there and a lot of other retellings!. And another one I enjoyed so, so much was Beastly by Alex Flinn!. It is such a good book, follow B&B and it is set in modern times!. You'll love that book!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is a fabulous book called "East" by Edith Pattou!. It's not a real "Beauty and the Beast" retelling -- it's actually a retelling of a folktale called "East of the Sun and West of the Moon," but there are lots of similarities to "Beauty and the Beast!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can mainly only find books that follow the Cinderella plotline, but I think this might be beauty and the beast's plotline
