Question: What differences in the book "A Night to Remember" one written in 1991 and the other in 2005, same author
I am very interested in buying the book A Night To Remember about the Titanic and the book was written in 1991 and again in 2005 by Walter Lord but I want to make sure that I get all the facts and nothing but the truth!. Are there any differences in the books whether I buy the 1991 or the 2005!?
ThanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

"A Night to Remember" was first published in 1955, and became Walter Lord's most well-known history book!.
His account of the sinking of the Titanic was as factual a history as was known at the time, drawn not only from the written records of the catastrophe, but from interviews with over 50 survivors of the sinking!.
All reprints of the book have been essentially the same text, although an "illustrated" edition was published some years later (before either of the editions you've mentioned)!.
He wrote and published a sequel, "The Night Lives On", in 1986, with more information, further discussion of the possible ways the ship had met its fate, and more details he'd uncovered over the 21 years since the first book had been published!.
Both books have been reprinted several times since their original publication!.
Walter Lord died in 2002!.
The wreck of the Titanic was discovered in 1985!.

Walter Lord's two books, "A Night to Remember" and "The Night Lives On", are still probably the best basic books about the disaster!.
Dr!. Robert Ballard's book, "The Discovery of the Titanic" is an excellent resource about the finding of the Titanic, and connecting what was found to the story of the sinking!.

To compare the two editions of "A Night to Remember" you're considering, try looking them up on the abebooks or alibris book sites for more information!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
