Question: Character name help!
I am having a problem with naming my characters!. I have already changed the names numerous times Eve as the protagonist and Joss as the antagonist!. I found that when reading Joss it sounded too much like Josh, and Eve sounded to old!. So then I went from Ellie (pro) and Roslyn (ant)!. I now do not like Ellie cause it sounds to sweet, not becoming to what her character will develop into!. I kinda like the idea of switching Roslyn to the protagonist even though it means soft and weak it sounds strong!. Little fyi about the personalities they are both teens the protagonist is a little shy at the moment, lacking a bit of self confidence, in the end she will over come her insecurities and become one kick *** heroin , on the other hand her sister is the total opposite, wild , carefree , strong, a bully of the worst kind!. This is a fantasy so I am open to suggestions, thanks!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read the first chapter of your book when you had it on Yahoo Answers!. It was really good!. I am glad it is a fantasy, when I read the 1st chap!. I thought that would be cool if it was, I am also glad that ellie (or whatever you end up naming her) turns out to be a "kick *** heroin"!. What do you mean she won't be sweet!? Does that mean she won't be kind-hearted, merciful and great person that everyone loves!? I wish I knew more about her father!.

Well anyway, how about Anastasia!. It means "she will rise again"!. You could call her Anya for short!. Or how about Aurora which means goddess of the dawn!. I like Geneviere (pronounced Gwenivere)You could call her Gwen!. I don't know!. I think you should decide!. Go on

also, if you can somehow tell me if you ever publish your book, that would be wonderful because i would really love to read it!. It sounds fantastic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

often authors use names as a kind of keyword type thing to give a character new life
for example, if you have a character who's rather up on her high horse, you might name her "Sarah," which means princess!.

Behind the Name has a whole database of names and meanings from all over the world!. Whatever you're looking for, "strong" names, "shy" names, "evil" names, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Assuming they are both girls, I like Rosalyn as the pr!. and I like Elaina as the an!. Do you agree!? The "Rosa" part of "Rosalyn" gives in the shyness and sweetness, and the "lyn" part gives it substance!. Elaina just sounds evil!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
