If you like Greek myth, then I know the perfect book for you:
Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Lightning Thief Series: Lightning Thief, Sea of Monsters, Battle of the Labyrinth, and one more coming out next year) by Rick Riordan

I think you would also like:
Mortal Instruments Trilogy (City of Bones, City of Ashes, and coming out in March, 2009, City of Ashes) by Cassandra Clare (this is her pen name, and I am not sure what her real name is)

Here are the websites:
(Mortal Instruments Trilogy) http://mortalinstruments!.com
(Lightning Thief Series) http://rickriordan!.com

ENJOY!

My sister also says that Eragon is a good book, I'm not sure who the author is!.!.!.I think it is Christopher!.!.!.idkWww@QuestionHome@Com

I highly recommend:

Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" series (the books are far better than the recent movie)!. The first book is called The Golden Compass if you are in the US, Northern Lights if you are in the UK!.

Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" series!. Full of mythology, particularly Arthurian/Celtic, and one of my favourites when I was your age!. I believe it's possible to buy an anthology with all of the series in one book!.

Both are fantastic adventure series!.

I would also say Harry Potter, but I'm sure everyone has read that by now!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, since you're into mythology try out "Phone Home Persephone"; it's about the Olympic Gods, told in Hades' P!.O!.V!. It's also the first out of three books!.

And well!.!.!.I know you might be turned off by the idea, but how about trying a vampire series!? Ever heard of Twilight!? It's huge, and it's awesome!. But that's my personal opinion!. It's told in a girl's P!.O!.V!., and it's actually a romance, but it has its fair share of violence!. It's also the first of four books by Stepehenie Meyer!. If you're interested, you can ask me more about it!. (I'm a huge fan of the Twilgiht Saga, so I'll know what I'm talking about!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

How about some science fiction of another realm!? my freshman year of high school I read "Ender's Game"!. I thought it was fantastic and a bridge between adult and young adult!. It is part of a series which is also really nice!.

For more of a fantasy feel, try Robert Jordan!. I would definitely say his works have a lot of pages but when I was in middle school, I found it to be kind of boring sometimes!. But then again, I skipped over some parts of Lord of the Rings, like the songs and stuff because I didn't think they pertained to the plot!. If you are into fantasy, give Robert Jordan a try!.

I started reading Stephen King in middle school as well!. His style isn't overwhelmingly sophisticated, which is why I think he is so popular!. He is prolific, so if you enjoy King, you could always just read more!.

Then again, the books I am most proud of reading at a fresh age are the classics!. Read it before you have to in high school or college!. You get an advantage by having already read it, but you will have already formed opinions about the novels, which can be good or bad, depending on your teacher!.

I hope I didn't overload you with suggestions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
