If you like the city of Ember you might like!.!.!. The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind!. I really like it, but sadly it must go away as it came with a dreaded ex of mine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The series of books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, showing through fiction the dictatorship in his country, Columbia!. These include 'One Hundred Years of Solitude,' 'Autumn of the Patriarch' and more!.

The series of books written by Larry McMurtry involving, first, 'Lonesome Dove,' a Pulitzer winner, then 'Deadman's Walk' a prequel!.
McMurtry also wrote a good series about Texas living, including 'The Last Picture Show' (an award-winner) and on about the lives of those characters in several good books!.

The series about Easy Rawlins, mystery books, written by Walter Mosley, starting with 'Devil in a Blue Dress' and best read in order!.

The series about Tom Ripley, written by Patricia Highsmith, starting with 'The Talented Mr!. Ripley,' also best read in order, though 'The Boy Who Followed Ripley' should be read last, not chronologically!.

*I am not writing about 'funny' series I've read, though all of these authors possess a fine humor and that shows in their writing!. I guess these books are for more mature readers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a tie between Harry Potter and A Series of Unfortunate Events!.

Harry Potter was really easy for me to read, but like I forgot so many small details that kind of confused me because I had to remember later for the other books!.

A Series of Unfortunate Events just kind of had the same plot over and over again, but I thought the way they escaped from all these situations were creative!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket!. I like the many layers of the whole story, and, even though it's over, there are still lingering questions!.
Although the series may change when I start reading Chrestomanci!. I've heard those are excellent!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
