After The Queen of the Damned, I'll be honest; I started to get a bit bored!. I think she really became a one-trick pony for a while, even though I can't say any of the books were actually BAD!. I also recommend The Witching Hour (but not the sequels) and The Mummy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Anne Rice is my favorite author and I am partial to her Vampire Chronicles (though I did find some of the books in the series a disappointment)!. I'd say read Interview with the Vampire, which I am sure you can find in your local library!. See how you like it!. If you can deal with her style (some people find her too verbose) then read the others in the series!. The first three should be read in order!. also, be aware that, if you continue reading the series, the book Merrick merges the Vampire Chronicles with the Mayfair Witches!. So I'd recommend that if you do read up to Merrick, take a break to read the Mayfair Witches trilogy (The Witching Hour, Lasher & Taltos, in that order)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I'm a big Anne Rice fan and have read all of the Vampire Chronicles and liked it!. Anne Rice, however, is not for everybody!. She is often verbose and wanes on the philosophical and people don't always follow!. I suggest picking up one of her books--start with Interview With a Vampire (it's not the first in the series though)--and seeing for yourself if you like it!. also recommended is her Mayfair Witches series, which I actually like better than the Vampire Chronicles!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If you are referring to the vampire chronicles by Anne Rice, then yes they are really good!. I have almost the whole set!. I think the 2nd book is better than the 1st!. But the series goes on for quite a few books!. Blackwood Farm is my favorite so far!. They made movies of the 1st and 3rd book!. She also has other books out that are really good!. My favorite non vampire book by Anne Rice is the Mummy, I couldn't put it down, it was kinda romantic, but not too romantic!. She has a wonderful imagination that shows in all of her books!. If you are interested in vampires though and don't think that you'll get bored if you read a Vampire story that's also a romance then you should check out the Twilight saga great story great characters and they just released the last book in the series! They are really good!Www@QuestionHome@Com It really depends upon your taste!. I find Rice's prose to be purple and overblown, and her characters to be irritating at best!. But some people love them!.
