OK!.!.!.one more series that someone might recognize by my description!. It would be greatly appreciated!.
This is a series of books that entail a sort of "medieval" time period, but there is magic involved!. The main characters are these swordsmen who's whole duty is to protect people!. They are raised to do this, and when the time comes to be a protector they go through a ceremony that involves them having a sword thrust through them by the person that the will be protecting!.
When that person the are protecting dies alot of times they go crazy and start killing each other and everyone around them!. I am sure that one of the books in the series has the work Dagger in it, but my random searching online has not been able to find anything that helps!.
