years ago I was introduced to a book series that had main characters that were very similar to hobbits (it seemed at first at least)!. I do not know the author, or the book series, or names of any of the books, but maybe I can get some help from someone out there in cyberspace!.
I know that the books ended with one of the main characters shooting an arrow at the main bad guy and killing him, but also ending up blind after the fight!.
I know that there is a princess that gets kidnapped, and at one point is kept in a dungeon that is pitch black (I remember this because there is one description of her huddling at the back of her cell terrified because she could sense that some giant creature was on the other side of the bars reaching for her though the bars (much better put of course!.!.!.it sent shivers up my spine)!.
There is some point in the books where the hobbitish creatures have to defend their homeland I believe!.!.!.and they are good archers!.
I know this isn't alot to go on, but if anyone knows the series I would really appreciate it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
