Im starting acting this year and I wanna get into more stuff so it will make me a well rounded actor!. So what type of poems do you suggest me to read!? Nothing too boring because I am 13!!!! Poetry books would be good!. You could even give me authors I need something to start off with!!!

Its a compilation of famous poetry that was meant to be performed or that could be performed!. Plus some you may have never heard of!. Its a great book and sounds like just what you were looking for!. I generally don't enjoy poetry, and I generally don't understand the "underlying meaning" stuff, either!. Go to the library and ask the librarian to recommend some!. Read some of Shakespeare's sonnets, and really think about the words and meanings!. Read "Romeo and Juliet"!. Try some ee cummings!. Walt Whitman Edgar Allen Poe Rudyard Kipling Beatrice has some good lines in Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing"!. You might look for poetry collections that reflect your interests!. You'll probably want to skip limericks!.
