So immortal children!.!.!.!.!.bitten when they were about 2 or 3 and never grew up!.!.!.

So why did Edward, who was bitten as a baby, grow up to be 17!?
And why stop at 17!? Why not 18 or 20!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was also confused about this because [and i now cannot remember which book it was from] it said that even though Edward's mother was sick, she was still trying to 'nurse Edward'!.

I took the 'nursing' part as breast feeding!. Apparently 'nursing' was trying to care for him while they were both sick!. So I guess he was 17 and not a baby!.

And yes, Breaking Dawn was fabulous to me!. I have read it twice now!. I cannot understand why some people are not pleased with the final book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Edward wasn't bitten as a baby!. Where did you hear that!. He was born in Chicago 1901 and than in 1918 he was sick from some disease and his mother asked Carlisle to do everything in his power to save Edward's life!. When she died , Carlisle took him in his house and he bite Edward!. Edward had 17 years than and that is why he is stuck on that age!. Hope that I made it clear for you!.

Edward wasn't bitten as a baby!. He was dying from the Spanish Influenza when he was 17, and Carlisle found him and bit him to keep him alive!. The reason he couldn't be 18, or 20, or anything other than 17 is because once your bit, your body doesn't change at all from when you got bit!. He can't grow up, so he stays 17 forever!. interesting!. when i re read twilight or new moon i remember carlisle talking about edward and the way edward mom talked about him when he was still a human like he was a baby!.!.

He WAS 17 when he was bitten, not a baby!. It says he was born in 1901,and was bitten in 1918!. He was even planning on joining the war!. If a baby was bitten, the baby would always stay a baby, forever frozen in that state!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
