Question: Need help with Jane Eyre Novel please!

need help with Jane Eyre book for a report!. I am writing a critical research paper on the views of love in the novel!. so far i have 2 paragraphs; first paragraph is the obstacles of love in the novel, and the 2nd paragraph is about genuine love in the novel!.!. i need an idea for a 3rd paragraph and a good thesis statement i could use for the intro about the views of love in the novel, please help! stuck!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When reading your question one thing sparked for me!. Are you talking about love only in Jane Eyre or how love is portrayed in comparable novels of the time!. Unless you are ready to write a 20 page essay, I would stick with just Jane Eyre!.

Thinking about what you have so far I would maybe pose the question What it means to love in Jane Eyre!. You have Jane's love of the little girl(forgot her name), Jane's love of Rotchford, Jane's love of her friend from the orphanage who dies, and Janes love of Rotchfords home!.

Then you have all the people who love Jane!. Then you have Rotchford's wife who seems incapable of love only obsession!. who is the most honest in love!. I would say that it is defintely Jane as she is the most steadfast in her feelings and stays true to her character!.

Possible thesis idea "through Jane's journey we learn that scope of what it means to love from the subtle love of two orphans confined to a life away from love, to the social barriers between employer and employee and the obsessive mania brought about by love denied!."
