Question: Were you disappointed with Breaking Dawn!?
WARNING: SPOILERS
I liked how everything I wanted happened, but that was about it!. There wasn't a plot, or any action!. Everything went how I thought it would, meaning it was very predictable!. They got married, had a kid, Bella got turned and they lived happily ever after!. I hope I'm not the only one, but I really wanted there to be a fight between all the vampires, not a lovely little tea party!. I was expecting Bella and Edward to rip a couple heads off, possibly get hurt, and at least some people to die!. When I finished the book, first thing I said was lame!. I must say I was bitterly disappointed, I honestly have no clue how/ with what Stephanie Meyer filled all those excess pages with!. Tell me your opinions on the book as well!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
You're response to the book is exactly summed up into my words!. Yes, everything that I wanted happened(except for Renesmee, that was just odd and wasn't expected!.!.!.) but it was so far fetched!. And I'll agree with you, the whole 'brothers' and caring and loving, that's great for oh i don't know, the little mermaid, but not for twilight!. I also wanted there to be a fighting scene, especially with the Volturi, but nothing!. In an interview with Stephenie, she said her publisher asked her to 'tone down the violence' which she said she did, not get rid of it entirely! The pregnancy was bitter-sweet for me, fun but at the same time showed a side of Bella that we've read about, selfishness!. She put her new family into so much mental stress, it was selfish!.

Now, I wasn't disappointed, I was just unsatisfied with the results, very much so!. Instead of Miss Meyer answering questions, she just brought upon more questions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really enjoyed the book and the overall story!.

I think it was a good sum up to complete this saga, this story of Twilight!. Of course I saw a lot of it coming!. Bella & Edward together as vampires, their daughter being with Jacob, the conflict with the other vamps!.

But I thought the fight without killing at the end was really interesting!. Everybody knew the fight was coming!. Few if any thought it could be sloved peacefully!. also leaves that door open for the next person's story!.

I loved the book Breaking Dawn!. Good overall story!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes!!!!
really, bella and edward were nothing like they were in twilight!.
and vampires can have babies!!!!
its impossible and i think really far fethched!.
i know stephenie wanted the books to end this way but i think she runined it bug time!. its hard to believe its the same charaters as in twilight, new moon or eclipse
sorry if anyone enjoyed it, but i think it could have been soooooo much betterWww@QuestionHome@Com

i didnt like it one bit!.! renesmee!? ru serious!? i absolutely didnt like this book one bit, and wouldnt have read it if i knew what was coming!. to create a happy ending she twisted all the plotlines and ruined it!. i hated seeing edward and bella as paarents, especially edward as a dad!. and jacob imprinting on it was disgusting! the whole plotline was centered around an accident child whom shouldnt even exist! she changed her writing style especially after the transormation!.i used to be a twihard, but because of this book im not so sure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I wished for a fight too!. And I wanted to be a little less fairy-tale like!. The ending was too!.!.!.!.perfect!. (she can let him read her thoughts!? WTF!?)

&& what happened to Leah!?!? She became Jacob's lapdog and that's it!? Gosh!.

I liked Renesmee's introduction!. Everything about it!. Except!.!.!. I wish there would have been more interaction between Edward and Nessie!. I wanted to see some cute Daddy-daughter moments!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with the fight!. SM wasted so many pages building up something that never happened!. I don't see the point of that!. I really didn't expect Nessie, or Jacob imprinting on her!. I don't think this book was as predictable as Twilight!. Book was pretty good overall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not even going to start on this one, there's so many things a lot of you completely misunderstood about the book that it would take me about ten pages of writing to argue you're nonsensical points!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i liked what happened and in breaking dawn!. i do agree with this huge battle part!.!.!.i really wanted to see some action!.!.!.but everything was good i really enjoyed the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Agreed!. After I read it I was like "This mess took more than 700 pages!?!?" I felt like she was just filling in the book just because she had to!. It was silly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ugh! Breaking Dawn was TERRIBLE! I was soooo looking forward to a feeling of a right closure, but everything that Stephenie Meyer wrote was just so!.!.!.!. wrong, so off-feeling! These are some of my reasons:

1!. There was no romance, no heart-pounding suspense when Bella got close to Edward!. Nothing that made it feel real, except the sex on Isle Esme!.

2!. The morning after they had sex, Edward gives himself a mental-beating for bruising Bella which made it awkward for the readers!.

3!. Bella get's pregnant!? By vampire venom, not sperm!? Please!.

4!. She wants to keep the damn thing!. What the hell!? It's KILLING her, and she's so blinded by the "love" of her parasitic baby that she ALLOWS it to break her pelvis, spine, ribs, ect!.

5!. While I did enjoy the Jacob point of view, the whole "Jacob leaves the pack with Seth and Leah and we don't hear from Sam or his pack for the rest of the book" really got on my nerves, especially after all they've been through in New Moon and Eclipse!.

6!. Bella if f***ing dying on the floor, vomitting blood that she's been gulping down like water for the past weeks, the parasite is breaking her bones, damaging her intournal organs, and she's yelling at Jacob, Edward, and Rosalie to save the monster and "NOT LET HIM DROWN!" !?!?!? Come on, get real!. Oh and did I mention the fact that Edward communicates with the freaky talking fetus, and wants to please it!? What the hell, Steph!?

7!. Edward just calmly tries to deliver the baby when Rose wants to eat Bella, then five minutes later when Bella is practically dead, Rosalie is coddling the baby, nidging noses with it, and pretending like Bella isn't dead on the floor!? I WANTED Jacob to attack the both of them, not IMPRINT on the damn thing!!!

8!. No one is in-character!. Emmett and Edward openly discuss their sex-lives, and Jacob phases in front of Charlie!? I think Meyer has lost it!. Officially!.!.!.

9!. The rest of the book was somewhat decent, but I felt no rightness, no closure!. Stephenie Meyer really dropped a doozy on this book!.
