Okay, don't start on the book, I know it was whacky and I still don't know if I like it or not, but this is a question not a fanbase discussion!.

Stephanie made rules about her vampires early on, one of them being that when turned into a vampire all systems stop, you become like stone, granite, you can breathe but thats just a reflex you don't have to!. You don't have bodily functions and the such, hair doesn't grow!. Liquids don't exist within the body anymore except blood!. You pause, basically!.

So my question to Stephanie and anyone else who can answer this for me, How could Bella become pregnant!? As far as her rules state, Edward would not have that function anymore!. No sperm, no urine, no nothing!. So how could he get her pregnant!? It doesn't make any sense!. Is there some exception to the rule she forgot to mention or what!?

I'm very disappointed!. I've read it twice and I can't find anything to explain it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well apparently he's an Incubus!. Incubuses are demons that seduce women!. They get their power from sucking the energy out of their victim, and end up killing the person after they have finished with them!. I'm pretty sure they get their sperm by sucking out that energy, but I could be wrong!.

The book says Edward is an Incubus!. The problem with that explanation is that Edward never tried to kill Bella, as an incubus would!. So how could he have gotten sperm!? It just doesn't make any sense!.

Of course, it's possible that he was still making sperm, but that makes no sense, because Smeyer has said before that the only bodily fluid her vamps have is venom!. So she either lied to all of her fans, said that and then changed her mind, or else it's just the biggest plot hole in all of history-- or all three of them, actually!.

I don't understand how she get pregnant either!. I've just decided that Stephenie Meyer couldn't think up a decent plot, so she dug around a bit, invented a few things, rearranged a few things, then clumsily slopped it all together and tried to make it resemble a plot!. There were a lot of things in the book that didn't make sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I wondered that too!. Your absolutely right, somewhere in the book however it offers a meager explanation!.
Edward is an incubus, and apparently that gives him the power to father children!. I looked it up in the dictionary, and it said this: A male demon believed to have sexual intercourse with sleeping women!.

I don't know!. Maybe Stephenie Meyer FORGOT to make her books internally consistent and therefore just 'that' much better!.

There is no explanation other than to say the woman smokes crack!. According to the previous books, there is no way!. However she woke up that morning and changed her mind!. That is not what a responsible author does - it created the biggest plot hole in the history of books!. I think it is hilarious!. I call it a bampire - baby vampire!. Too funny!.
