Question: Is it possible to turn a small RV into something more like a tank!?

I am writing a story and need to know if it is possible to turn a small RV into a tank or something like it!. Since my main character will be in a dangerous place!. Would it feasible to weld a metal skin to the outside of the RV!? Would that be something that anyone could do or have done!? Www@QuestionHome@Com
