I read "The Book Thief" last year and really liked it!. It was strange to have Death as the narrator!. What he wrote was mostly a third person account of the life of the girl who saw her brother die, and of all the other characters in the book, but mostly her!. He had death narrate every scene as if he were there in the room, or following the characters along their lives!. He tells all the details in their due time, and by that he keeps the suspense up!.
