Question: Anyone else a little creeped by Edward and Bella's relationship!?
They are 'in love', but it seems like deranged hormones to me!.
If you really think about their relationship!. you'll note the co-dependency displayed by both of them, by Bella's having no friends and Edward being disturbingly over protective!.
Wait, so when someone loves you, they don't let you have friends and take a part out of your car so you can't go anywhere!? Wtf happened to compromise!?
All they do is fight about Bella being a vampire, Victoria for a while, Jacob, and having sex!. They don't even seem to have chemistry, unless you count Bella's idiotic fearlessness to a ravenous vampire commitment!.
Bella practically raped Edward in Eclipse and pouted like a four year old when he refused because he has morals she doesn't!. She's supposed to be all 'mature', so she has a hissy fit when her boyfriend doesn't want to smash her skull!?
Anyone else notice creepy aspects of the relationship!?

I'm extremely creeped out by it!. I mean, he watched her sleep before he even spoke to her!. It seems like their 'love' is based on "You smell so good!" "You're so hott!"!.
But it's not just the relationship I find creepy!. I think Bella is creepy in general!. Clingy and horny and extremely insecure!. Probably why she didn't have friends in her hometown!. Did anyone notice how she never mentioned ever having a friend before!? It's like she didn't exist before moving to Forks!. Yay for character development!. Not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like to call it puppy lust!. Edward loves Bella because she smells nice and Bella loves Edward because he looks nice!. Bella cant live think breathe or anything with out Edward and Edward treats her like a puppy or a pet that he owns!. They are everything a relationship should never be!.
She is not even freaked out when she finds out he has been stalking her SHE IS FLATTERED! That's not flattering that's creepy!.

heck no, i think they LOVE each other!!!! I mean, just look at the mess that happened to BOTH of them in new moon!!!! ya, jacobs not my favorite, and i like edward more!.!.!.!. but its BECAUSE he's overprotective thats shows he loves her!. an the only reason why he took a part out of her car was because alice cant see bella when shes with a werewolf so edward gets worried!. she doesnt have a hisy fit!.!.!. she just feels rejected!. she thought he wanted her that night, turns out he did!.!.!. he just didnt want to kill her by having sex!. (i kinda agree with you) he does have morals, and she doesnt for that ONE night!. its just because if they were doing it, he wouldnt be paying as much attention as usual!. so he might accidentally kill her sorry, i'm getting kinda mean there!. and they're not always warm and fuzzy!. edward just tries to agree with her all the time because he doesnt want her to feel bad!.!. Bella and Edward are the perfect example of what a relationship should NOT look like!. They are completely dependent on each other, and when it comes down to it, they only 'love' each other because one's hot and the other smells good!.
Furthermore, both have contemplated suicide!. What sort of example does this set for the twelve-year-olds reading this story!? That they should kill themselves when their boyfriend dumps them!?
And then there's the fact that Edward is a stalker!. Girls fawn over him all the time, and yet he's horrible!. He watches her in her sleep, takes her away from her friends, and makes her lie to her dad!. And all the while Bella's only thought is "I love his crooked smile"!.
I don't take comfort in the fact that millions of kids look at Bella and Edward as the perfect relationship!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
In Twilight they definitely had more chemistry!. In Twilight they were believable because they were just starting out!. Isn't that how many relationships start off!? Throughout the other books though, New Moon and mainly Eclipse, they don't seem to act like a "normal" couple, which flat out tells you that they are definitely story characters and that their relationship is full of flaws!. For one, they are together for how long in Eclipse!? Two years!? Since they've been together you mean to tell me that they don't have things that they don't like about each other!? I mean, just because Edward is a vampire doesn't mean that he is perfect!. Every couple has fights (and I don't mean the stupid little debates between Edward and Bella about turning her into a vampire)!. It DOES get to me that Bella finds completely nothing wrong with Edward!. And Edward finds nothing wrong with Bella!. How can he honestly put up with her!? THAT is what is so unreal and misleading about relationships in the real world!. I know it's a book, but if you're going to create a relationship between two people in OUR world today, which involves the same mistakes, emotions, and flaws, then make that happen in your characters too!.
Edward and Bella's relationship is all "perfect" and "fuzzy"!. They don't ever get in fights or argue about anything!. Me and my boyfriend don't always agree, we sometimes argue and get in fights, but we talk about afterward!. We communicate and grow stronger!. That's something that DOESN'T happen with Edward and Bella!. I think that is why there seems to be no real chemistry between them!. They don't act like how a normal couple would act!. They are both deemed perfect and flawless!. They don't work out their problems between each other!. We don't see any communication between them relationship wise, to grow stronger in each other!.

Ed and Bella were first attracted to each other for all the wrong reasons; he thought she smelled tasty, and she thought he was handsome!. Their relationship grew from lust, really!. After that, Ed began controlling Bella; as you've said, he even took apart her car so she couldn't leave!. He also had Alice kidnap her!. That is NOT love!. I know the Twilighters will come here and say "He was just trying to protect her" but would they seriously want a boyfriend that takes apart their car so they can't leave!? That's creepy! also, Ed and Bella are obsessed with each other in a way that isn't healthy; they're both suicidal without the other, and they can't stand to be away from each other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
