Question: Are Arthur and Molly Weasly distant cousins!?
I was looking at this:

http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Ginny_Weasl!.!.!.

^under family tree

and it appears as though they are distant cousins (from marriage!?)!.!.!. are Ignatius Prewett and "Male Prewett" brothers, thus making Arthur and Molly 2nd cousins by marriage!?

I know this is being very analytical, but if you're really into HP I'm sure you understand lol =]

thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Very possibly!. Witches and wizards seem to be drawn from a very small gene pool, I mean nearly everyone who goes to Hogwarts seems to marry someone else who goes to Hogwarts, and it seems to be the only school of witchcraft and wizardry in england!. So I feel that most of them must be related to each other in some way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It does seem that way!. But then again, wikipedia isn't the most reliable of sources, is it!?

Even if it were true, it's not that big of a deal, they're only related by marriage!.

Edit: Just Biana is right! Because there are so few of them left, I forgot all about that!. *Snickers* that means there's a possible relation between the Malfoys and the Weasleys!. And in response to your response to my response- yeah, I know!. Ha, it's okay, it is an interesting thing to think about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
