Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Make sure to tap into the characters feelings a lot!. Make the readers feel what the characters are!. Make them feel like they ARE the characters!. Than they'll want to keep turning pages because it'll be like the disaster happening to them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com One "rule" or trend I noticed!. The focus is only ever on the disaster when you use a lot view points, whether the disaster is a fire, an alien intervention, or a plague!. If the view point is one person, the focus is usually just on that person and the natural disaster is just the Deus Ex Machina in the person's story, either a good place for an epiphany or a way to wind up the story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If you are going to write a story, because I have been in a distaster of various kinds; I can help!. Think about a time to which you may have nearly died, or something very frightening happened to you!. It could be anything!. Remember the fear that you expierenced, and the feeling of desperation and lack of control; the paradoxical nature of knowing that you have *got* to get out, but yet you can't!. The impending doom as it gets inevitabily closer!. This is the sort of thing that I am sure would capture an audience!. For example!.!.!. The house is on fire, but I am trapped!. If I don't get out now, I will have to die and feel on my skin being burned off and the unimaginable pain from having to expierence it, it will be like in the movies in Terminator 2 when that woman burns in the nuclear blast at the fence!. I have no option but to escape, but how do I ensure!. I have no option of having my option of escaping taken away, because of how much it will sting!. Help! Help! Help! Feel the panic inside and feel your heart race!. Feel the tingling up and down your body as you go dizzy hyperventilating and your too weak to move because your exhausted from your panicing and you can't get away quick enough!. Imagine knowing it is fate that this is how you will die!. That is the way to make a disaster story!. http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=YzqrdANIj!.!.!. Imagine knowing there is no way out of suffering this for all eternity!.
