http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Oliver_Twis!.!.!.
http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Charles_Dic!.!.!.
From both sources above, including a link to "Dicken's London Map" from Reference Resources in the second link above, I see that these locations in London, studying only 'Oliver Twist,' are or were real:

Newgate Gaol = Next Newgate Prison, demolished in 1904 for a site for the Central Criminal Court, known as Old Bailey!.
Holborn = actual location
Penton Hill = real
Saffron Hill = a real place, the name of a street in London Burrough of Camden
Snow Hill = real, near Saffron Hill
London Bridge = real (well!.!.!.) and
Surrey Pier = real
Middlesex = an actual area
"St!. Saviour's Church" was the Southwark Cathedral = real
Smithfield = real, a live cattle market in London

*For all locations from all of Dicken's books that are/were real, suggest you follow the second link, go to Reference Resources, and 'Dicken's London Map' and read about every real place in every book he wrote!. It's actually quite good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
