A classic is any novel that has stood the test of time and is in some way still relevant today!.

That said, everyone has their own interpretation!.

You could, of course, go all the way back to the beginning and read Ovid, Homer, Socrates, Aristophanes, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the "Oddyssy" and the "Illiad" by Homer are two good examples of classic books!. Pretty much any book written by an author that had an impact on the world, published before 1985 or so would be considered a classic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
