Brave New World is a great story, along the same plot lines as 1984, I just liked the story better in Brave New World!.

Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime is a pretty easy read, great story from the view of a 15 year old autistic boy!.!.!.!.has a good plot twist towards the endWww@QuestionHome@Com

Brave New World, 1984 and Dorian Gray are great books but I have a feeling you wouldn't like them!.!.!.

Agatha Christie is a celebrated mystery writer for a reason, and her books are reasonably easy and quick to read!.

Curious Incident is also an easy read!.

The Importance of Being Earnest, while not mysterious or gory, is hilarious and wonderful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh that is difficult because unless you enjoy the classics these are all books that require patience and none of these books are gory by today's standards, really!.

I can't give you two but may I suggest 1984 for one!?

And do not be deceived by Dracula!. It actually isn't a very exciting read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say either 1984 or dracula

I know agatha christie is a good mystery writer, so you'd probably like her work

And I really like jane austen's books, they're nice stories, so you may like it!.!.though they're not gore relatedWww@QuestionHome@Com

Oscar Wilde : The Picture of Dorian Gray
OMG!. this book was seriously amazing!. I just read it this past year and i loved it! It did take awhile for me to get into it but once i did i really got to understand and feel the characters!. It was great!

charles dickens: a tale of two cities
I read this and even though it is a really hard book to chew through it made me understand alot about literature and the events that took place in the book!. The book opened me up to other dickens stories and my personal favorite is david copperfield!. But A Tale of Two Cities has a very surprising ending that makes you really think about life, friends, and what they mean to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
