Question: I need advice for a project!. Please HELP!!?
Okay so recently I've been playing around with this idea for a story in my head!. I've decided to maybe try and go through with it since I have to write a short story for one of my college courses!. Well anyway just to give you a simple and basic plot it's about a woman who’s an army wife and her husband has recently been deployed to the Middle East!. Well about 2 months after his leave she finds out she's pregnant after her and her husband have trying for years to conceive and also about this time she also receives the news her husband has been killed by a suicide bombing!. So basically the whole book is her journey!. She's dealing with her husband’s death; she's trying to find out whom she really is as a person and if she really wants to keep this child even if that means raising the child by herself!. I intend to raise some pretty controversial subjects in the story!. Like abortion, the war or terror, suicide, and depression!. This is just a really rough plot and I'll for sure smooth out the details before writing!. I just need to know what do you think…!.!. is this a worthy plot or should I find another one for my short story!. I understands it seems a bit complex for a short story but I’m going to try my best to work with the length plus there’s no real required length for the project!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it sounds great!.it would make one of those awesome abridged novels!. that you can expand and fill out later!. Being for a college course I would toally go for it if you feel confident you tackle such a complex piece in a short time/story format!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Go for it and write it! If you have an idea, then use it!. Don't question it b/c I bet there's many people out there who'd read a story like that and enjoy it!. I don't hear about many stories with stuff like this in them!.!.!.it seems different (in a good way) and I think it'll be plot worthy b/c of that!.

You might want to feel it out into separate stories first!.
There's really three major aspects to the story, as I understand it!.
1) She finds out she's pregnant while her husband is in Iraq!.
2) He dies in Iraq (either before or after finding out), so she has become a widow!.
3) The decision about her child, and its consequences!.
Each could stand fairly well by itself as a short story!. Plus dividing it up like this will help you explore whether or not you have enough interest and information to turn it into a novel!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
