Lucky, by Alice Sebold, and her other novel, The Lovely Bones!.

Lucky is a memoir of the author, recalling the events and emotions during and after being raped-- and how it's changed her life!. I think reading about how a near-death experience changed someone else's life makes you change your life as well!.

One for the Money by Janet Evanovich!. I read this in 7th grade, and had to read all the rest of the series that was out at that time!. the series really switched me over from teenager books, to adult books!.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer!. LOVE this book!. so detailed and descriptive!. really fell in love with the characters!. I also love Twilight!.
