Stephenie Meyer said that Breaking Dawn would satisfy MOST of her readers, and i wanted to see what MOST of her readers think!. So you get to choose either Jacob or Edward!. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I'm team Jacob!. I think that both characters are great, but both have flaws!. Personally, I'd choose Jacob because Edward's big mistake is overreaction!. It's in his nature to be too extreme!. He's a very all-or-nothing kind of person, and it makes him unreasonable!. In the beginning of Eclipse, he's too overprotective!. When he sees the error of his ways, he goes too far in the other direction!. He could have chosen a middle ground—maybe admitted to his jealousy and asked Bella to choose him, rather than watching her get in deeper with Jacob!. Of course, he has other issues that make forcing this issue problematic!. What if Jacob is better for her!? What if Bella could have a more complete life with him!? Should Edward really insist that Bella give everything up for vampire life!? Or would it be better to let her make a fully informed choice!? Can you see his dilemma!? Part of Edward wants Bella to choose Jacob!. Jacob doesn't have a tragic flaw!. He has one goal and one hope!. His goal is to save Bella's life!. His hope is that he'll win her heart in the process!. He fails at both!. But that doesn't mean he regrets trying!. If he could do it over again, he'd do the same thing!. Jacob couldn't live with himself if he didn't give saving Bella his best effort—he knows it's going to hurt when he loses, but he knows it would hurt worse if he didn't try!. Does he do everything right!? Heck, no! But he's sixteen and he's making it up as he goes along!. Those who are upset by some of his tactics should consider his youth and the fact that he is, after all, right!. Bella is in love with him!. (In the end, it's truly healthier for her to be aware of this as she goes forward with unalterable decisions!.) also, I like Jacob because he doesn't baby Bella like Edward does!. Jacob knows that Bella is capable of handling dangerous situations!. I wouldn't want my boyfriend treating me like a helpless kid would you!? Oh I almost forgot!. There is a downside to choosing Jacob!. If Bella chose Jacob instead of Edward, she would always have to worry about Jacob imprinting later on!. What if he did imprint on someone else!? Even though Jacob said that if he did imprint he wouldn't leave Bella, if he did end up imprinting, he would have no choice but to do just that: leave Bella!. It happened to Sam!. What makes you think that Jacob's situation would be different!? Despite this, I still think that Jacob is the best choice for Bella!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I answered a question like this recently, but I'm definitely team Jacob I like Jake because he's so straightforward with Bella and tells her what she wants to know (regardless of how it will make her feel) but Edward on the other hand tries to hide the truth from Bella, and he treats her like a helpless two year old!. Jacob is the only one who understands that Bella is independent and can do things on her own!. Edward just seems to baby her around and he's way too overprotective!. Jake can protect Bella the same but he doesn't go to extremes, he lets her do what she wants!. also, there's that bad boy vibe in Jacob which makes him so unpredictable and makes me like him even more!. I'm Team Jacob and I don't have anything against Edward, but I just feel that Jacob would be better with Bella because she would be able to live a normal life!. Jacob's funny too, it's just the things he says that makes me laugh!. Sure, jake can be immature and a jerk at times, but people forget that he's only 16 while Edward has lived for over a hundred years!. Besides, Edward cares so deeply for Bella and he is just so much more romantic!. Besides, he is so much more defensive and protective!. AND! He saved Bella's life in Twilight!. Edward is borderline emotionally abusive!. He does things that force Bella into compliance with his will!. He has no respect for what Bella feels, because he's so arrogant that he always thinks he's right!. He is too black-and-white!. He's too extreme!. All those things are important to me, and it horrifies me that she's giving it all up for Edward!. Jake doesn't take away her family and her friends!. Honestly edward and bella were cute in twilight and all but now its just boring to me to see them together all the time!. Especially in eclipse!. But Edward was the one us readers were introduced to first, the one we all fell in love with as Bella did, the one that we were heartbroken, as she was, when he left and the one we were all ecstatic to see back in Bella's life, and in ours!. I just don't think that Jacob could ever (or ever did) fill the gaping hole in Bella's heart where Edward once was, and is again!.
