I think that Frey was mostly caught because he didn't have a criminal record that he was talking about in the book!. I am not sure if it is true but I remember him saying somewhere that his book was intended to be a fiction book but his publisher decided that it would sell better as a "true story" (after all most of us like to read about others' misery, otherwise how to explain the success of some piece like A Child Called It)!. I am sure that Persiphone could tell us if it is a normal publishing practice!.

Frey had a fiction book released recently, so his career doesn't seem to be over!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think most of it is fiction!. First of all, I do not know of an airline who will board an unconscious passenger who is drunk and high, covered in vomit and bodily fluids and bleeding from a hole in his cheek!. That is absurd!. Never would happen!.

also having spent time in rehab myself 13 years ago, I can tell you it is no picnic!. You don't get cable tV and lobster dinners!.

I think most of it is fiction!. Apparently that is how he intended to publish it to begin with and a publisher talked him into making it a memoir!. Pax-CWww@QuestionHome@Com

I guess most of it is fact, because something like this cannot be easily forgotten!.

I'm not sure about the fiction parts, though, but at the end there is a kind of epilogue or something, about what happens to the characters!. So I guess most of it must be fact!.

Exact quotes, however !.!.!. Frey could have changed them a bit!.

i love this book!. ^_^ It taught me a lot about life!!!!! =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is fiction based loosely on a few facts that was put out as a memoir to make it marketable!. It is also largely unreadable, as is, I've heard, his newest book that is marketed correctly as fiction!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
