also, what did you think of the 70's movie version with Samantha Eggar and Terence Stamp!? I found it riveting!. I think a remake would be a Director's platform today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is literally one of my favorite books!. It's so creepy!. I wonder how many Calibans we've not known we've encountered, hmmm!? This was the most haunting story ever, and the movie was fantastic!. Unfortunately, it's not only people like us who find the book fascinating!. It was also the inspiration behind "Operation Miranda," a torture/murder scheme enacted by serial killers Leonard Lake and Charles Ng!. It's sad!. Still, that book is a modern classic if there ever was one!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I loved it too!. And I've long said that the film version is my favorite novel adaptation ever!. I thought Stamp was unbelievable!. They really brought the tone of the book to the screen!. I think if they made it today though they'd screw it up!. They'd try to overplay the investigation side of it all!.

It's a great book, to be sure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
