Is this magical country a land of good or evil!? is it covered with mountains or desert!?

Any way, I like the name "Cantanisia" The name would come from the Spanish word "Cantina" and be blended with your suggestion of Cartisia, and no, I am not sure of the spelling!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't like either one of them!. Sorry!. The first one sounds like parasite, the second one sounds like a wrong way to say someone is Parisian and the last one sounds like a made up name--even though it is one--for a human instead of a country!.

I don't know, but looking at the Etc!. gives me a few ideas!. Why don't you go for foreign words as country names!? I typed in Peace City--I don't know why--and got Ville de Paix--it's French!. Maybe you can take that and make it Ville'd Paix or Ville'd Pax, Pai--whichever you like and since it's your story you would decide how to pronounce it!.

Other ideas:

Ecsersta--not really a word!.

This is a silly one but it sounds nice--Ecetera--it's spelled wrong on purpose!.

Pays Vengeur--It's French again = Vengeful Country

Phantom City

That's all I got!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cartasia, simply because it would sound the coolest from a movie perspective!. As much as authors hate to admit it, the movies are becoming superior to books and people naturally visualize a book as a smellable movie, so you need to think of it in that perspective!. Say things before your write them and see if it roles off the tongue easiest!. Use your judgmental skills; if you were looking at a place on a map, which would be most appealing just for it's name!. Judge for yourself; don't turn to others!. That's what makes an authors job so much fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cartasia's interesting - you may want to consider not using any sort of 'stan' or 'ale' or 'asia' endings, just because those are really similar to actual country names!.

Just go with your gut - if a name sounds right, then use it! And you don't have to come up with it immediately!. Just keep mulling it over, and it'll come to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its nice that you gave your magical country a semi-familiar setting of Asia (Cartasia), you can get more ideas from not very well known places if you look into atlases and stuff like thatWww@QuestionHome@Com
