Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: A Great and Terrible Beauty Ender's Game or Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card, very good Sci-Fi Maximum Ride Blood and Chocolate Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes Artemis Fowl (it's a bit juvenile, but good nonetheless) All Meg Cabot books are pretty quick reads Looking for Alaska AND An Abundance of Katherines, both by John Green and both very, very good The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime!. The 'Uglies' series and the 'Midnighters' series, both by Scott Westerfeld Wicked Feed by MT Anderson Marley and Me A Yellow Raft in Blue Water The Book Thief!. This is VERY good!. It's narrated by 'Death'!. It's kind of a sci-fi, but it is set during the Holocaust!. Howl's Moving Castle The Thief Lord and Inkheart, both by Cornelia Funke Montmorency: Thief, Liar, Gentleman!? A Mango Shaped Space The Named AND Old Magic, both by Marianne Curley!. The Named is absolutely one of my favorite books!. Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio!. This one is non-fiction!. It's not normally something I would read, but I devoured it in a matter of days!. It was very good!. The Stephanie Plum series!. Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin Then there's the classics Slaughterhouse-5 and Cat's Cradle, both by Kurt Vonnegut!. A Separate Peace Tale of Two Cities, which sounds boring, but it absolutely is not! Mansfield Park is my very favorite!.), anything by Terry Pratchett (not really a difficult writing style, but more adult-situated humor and SO HILARIOUS!.), and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!.
