Question: Are there any books inbetween the level of teens and classics!?
What I mean by the above question is that I often find myself yawning reading the classics (they are excellent but sometimes not enjoyable) and shaking my head at the teen books (they tend to be about the same things!.!.!.and are a bit over the top and dramatic)!. I'm a teen and wondering if there are any well written, but exciting at the same time, books out there that would be an enjoyable read!?

I'm not making fun of either group, just want something that I could enjoy!. And Twilight is not what I mean!.!.!.I have read it!.!.!.people make far too much of a big deal out of it!.!.!.it is good, but not that good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try looking into contemporary adult literature!. Not teen-y (well!.!. usually), but modern enough to keep your interest!. You can start by browsing the bestsellers list, or go to a local library and talk to the librarian - tell him/her what books you have enjoyed (teen or classic) and what you're looking for in a book!.

Some recommendations - books by Chuck Palahniuk, books by Stephen King, The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, The Princess Bride by William Goldman

Hope you find something you like!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think your problem might be that you classify the "teen" novels into the majorly popular categories: vampires, preppy cheerleaders, or crack-addicted teens!.

I know of some good books that are quite "teen" but adults really enjoy, and they aren't as boring as classic!. Try the Guardians of Time trilogy by Marianne Curley (I recommend them a lot but no one ever seems to read them!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Midsummer's Night Dream is a classic, but a bunch of teens liked it =) its a humorous romance, and if you understand it, it should have you chuckling out loud!.

hmm

Stephenie Meyer wrote her first adult book, The Host, and it's fairly good in my opinion!. i suggest you check that out as well!.

Oh, and Laurie Halse Anderson (or is it Laura!? -__- ) is an amazing writer!. Hopefully those teen books aren't the same!. Catalyst and Speak are some titles!. good luck! hope i helped =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should look into adult science fiction/fantasy, if you like the type-- these have become my favorite literary genre!.
I'm much the same way, except I do enjoy the classics :SWww@QuestionHome@Com
