I knew after I read the second book that Dumbledore absolutely had to die if Harry was ever going to face Voldemort, so for me it was just a matter of time and curiosity to see how and when Rowling would do it!. I was sad when he died, but it was right that he died, so I wasn't terribly upset!.

I felt terrible when Cedric died, but I will tell you honestly that the two deaths which hit me the hardest were Dobby the House Elf, and Fred!. Dobby's death hit me hard because he was brave enough to go back into the Malfoy house where he had been treated so badly, and he he did it freely to help the good guys!. But Fred's death!.!.!.we'll that one really got me!. Fred and George are such a package deal in the books that I couldn't even imagine how George was supposed to go on afterward!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would have to go with Dumbledore!. Not that I didn't like Cedric and Fred!. But Dumbledore played a main part in each and every book/movie!. Second I would have to pick Fred, because he was just a good kind hearted character that everyone could love!. Third I would go with Sirius Black!. Just as Harry had finally found a family member to love and be with, he gets taken away from him!. How devastating it has been to watch Harry go through all these constant blows!. It really is a shame for all the characters because in one way or another I grew fond of all of them because each played such a large roll in Harry's life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lupin and Tonks!. Here's this entire 7-book series about a boy who grew up with no parents, and now JK Rowling is condemning yet another baby boy to grow up without parents!? I understand that her purpose was to show how differently Teddy grew up, because Teddy was raised a wizard and had so many people who loved him, unlike Harry being raised by the Dursleys!. But understanding her purpose doesn't mean I have to like it or approve of it!.

Lupin and Tonks deserved a long life together and many more children!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hedwig disappointed me the most!. I kept thinking they were going to go on reconaissance and find her injured!.!.!.or she was going to show up later in the story!. (It always hits the worst when there are animal casualties)!. I understand a war was going on, but this was a really shocking book for me!. I agree with the above comment about George going on without Fred!. That aspect alone deserves a spin-off book!.

Cedric's death was so shocking because it was the 'first death' actually witnessed by the reader in the series!. It was the pivotal point, we were now moving from kids stuff to adult-type magnitude!. And the books just got darker and darker from there!. Can you imagine the controversy if JK flat-out outed Dumbledore in the series instead of hinting at it!? You think the Christian groups were freakin' before!? But I digress!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was severus snape's death that brought tears to my eyes!.

all along from the 1st book to the 6 th book!.!.!. i thought snape was a mean bastard!.!.!.

then in the 7th book!.!.!.!.i felt so sad when they explained snape's real character!. it was so heart warming!.!.!.especially since he loved Lily potter till death!.!.!.and his sacrifice for harrypotter!.!.!.all of it was great of him/

fred and dobby's death was also shocking!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
