I have a whole bunch of historical fiction and nonfiction books for kids here: http://www!.squidoo!.com/noorilibrarytheme!.!.!.

Most would be appropriate for your age!. A few you might especially enjoy include "Mara, Daughter of the Nile," "Catherine, Called Birdy," "Summer of My German Soldier," "The Witch of Blackbird Pond," and anything by Ann Rinaldi!. If you haven't already read them, I'd also add "Caddie Woodlawn" and "Sarah, Plain and Tall" to that list, though they have less romance!.

A few more for you, all history, romance or both:

The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, by Avi
Children of the River, by Linda Crew
The Only Alien on the Planet, by somebody I can't remember
The Unlikely Romance of Kate Bjorkman, by Louise Plummer
Beauty, by Robin McKinley
Crocodile on the Sandbank, by Elizabeth Peters (first in a very fun series)

You're also getting old enough that you might enjoy some classics like Pride and Prejudice or The Three Musketeers!. And finally, a lot of girls start reading slightly racier (but not too graphic) classic romances such as Gone With the Wind and The Thorn Birds around your age!. I know I did!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
