Which do you buy when you decide to add a book to your personal library!?

So I'll be at the book shop and something will look good and I'll buy it!. Sometimes I end up getting rid of it after finishing it, and sometimes it stays on my shelf!. I usually buy the cheapest book I can, so that's why they're mostly paperbacks!. The only exceptions I can see right now are books that either never come out in paperback (A Series of Unfortunate Events) or that I had to buy as soon as they came out (Harry Potter)!. As for what I like better!.!.!. I guess hardcovers will last longer and look better on the shelf!. Other than that, I don't care!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I usually buy Hardcover books for my library!. I never buy paperbacks unless the book has only been published in paperback!. If it's not a book I want to keep around, I get it from the library!. Hardcovers last longer and the pages are less likely to warp, bend, or yellow!. Before reading a hardcover book, I always remove the dust jacket so it doesn't get ruined (and doesn't annoy me by constantly sliding around)!. I own about 200 books in my collection!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If it is a brand new book that has excellent reviews and everybody is talking about and I can't wait til it comes out in paperback, then I buy the hardcover!. Most of the time I just wait until it is released in paperback!. I see that I have more paperback than Hardcover!. Maybe it's because Hardcover is more expensive!? But I mean, if I really like the book-but they just have it in Hardcover I'd probably still buy it!.
