Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I can't give you any of mine, but I would suggest carrying a notepad with you everywhere you go! Whenever you hear something interesting, have an idea, or if you read a news story and ever think "I wonder what would have happened if!.!.!." Your days are filled with little moments that most people just dismiss, you have to recognize them as possible ideas, and jot them in your little notebook!. I will stop a hundred times a day and just write things down!. Something I overhear, something I say, something funny someone tells me!. That's what works for me!Www@QuestionHome@Com Okay!. Here's what a writer does: -Comes up with plot -Comes up with characters for plot -Writes about it -Possibly gets it published You don't want to do the first two!. You might as well steal someone else's idea right now, and I mean one who's already published!. Why would I give you a storyline when I could use it!? Where's your creativity, O "aspiring novelist"!? Please!. Don't give me that!. Edit: "any events" falls under the category of "comes up with plot!." Anyone could write a story, I wasn't saying you didn't know how!. If you don't, you don't own the plot or story!. To come up with ideas, watch TV, listen to music, draw/paint, sleep and dream, daydream!. Whatever you do, DO NOT read a book!. If you do, you will automatically think of plots and storylines similar to the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com a 10 year old kid runs away taking his 6 year old sister with him!. he runs away cause his parents were going to sell him for labor to pay off their depts and his sister would eventually meat the same fate!. then you can take over the story but end it where the boy ends up dying trying to protect his sister or something else, the police find the sister, and she is taken back to her parents where she will be put into forced labor!. good luck soldierWww@QuestionHome@Com Umm!.!.!. Yeah!. Being an author or a novelist means you come up with your own stories and then you get popular enough that publishers come to you with ideas!.
