Question: Should my character call his love interest!.!.!.!.!?
Ok so this is probably not worth losing 5 points over, but i wanted to see what everybody thought!. I was wondering whether my character should call his love interest Beautiful or Colonel!? My first thought was beautiful because her amazing eyes were what first caught his attention (that and her unique name)!. But then i thought Colonel because she's tough and always seems 'in charge'!. My grandpa use to call my mom Colonel because she's always been the organized(somewhat OCD and controlling, but i still love her to death :) one in the family who pushes people to get things done!. So that probably doesn't have anything to do with my question, but it was an inspiration!. Anyways, what do you think!? Should i go with Beautiful, Colonel, or simply a shortening of her name!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Colonel" is cute and more intimate, and not to mention a lot less like empty purple prose!. But it will only work if used occasionally!. As for "Beautiful", use that once or twice but don't get happy with it!. For all other occasions, either a shortening of her name or just her name will do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i can't really say without reading your story, but colonel seems cuter and more personal,
but a shortening of her name would be better for most of the time (other nicknames tend to get repetitive)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bea short for beautiful (pronounced as "bee")Www@QuestionHome@Com
