Question: Is it OK for there to be a five year old main character in my book or is that too young!?
She is not the protagonist but is still vital to the story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure, you make the rules in fiction!. Just be careful to write her realistically!. A lot of five year olds are written way too precociously!. If you haven't been around any in awhile, try and spend some time around some real ones if possible to get an idea of how they really talk and think!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can choose whoever you want for the main character, but perhaps it would be wiser to choose a character a little older, seeing as deciphering the mind-workings of a 5-year-old might be a little difficult!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are books with main characters who aren't even human!. As long as your story makes sense, it doesn't matter how old the main character is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
