Question: How did mad-eye's eye see through harry's cloak!? (harry potter question)!?
Okay so this has really been bugging me ever since i read the 7th book!. *SPOILER*

well it says that harry's cloak is one of the hallows, right, well and that means that it's undetectable; its the ultimate invisibility cloak!. so what i was wondering is in the 4th book, how is mad-eye able to see harry in the cloak!? i know his eye is magical, but i thought that harrys cloak was truly and forever like an actual invisible shield yada yada!. so what gives!?

Thanks so much!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think being a hallow makes the cloak completely impenetrable!. The main benefit to Harry's cloak being a hallow is that it simply works better than normal invisibility cloaks, i!.e!. it doesn't fade with age like normal demiguise cloaks do!. Harry's cloak is a very powerful magical object, but so is Moody's eye!. Harry's cloak works better than most invisibility cloaks, but you have to remember that it is just a cloak until it is united with the other two hallows!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ehh I don't know the mechanics behind it or anything, but his eye is magical, plain and simple!. But it could be way more than that, Dumbledore can see under the cloak too! Remember!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
