Why is Twilight such a bestseller?

Question: Why is Twilight such a bestseller!?

I've read the book and to be perfectly honest, I cant see why it's so popular!. There's no plot! the characters are two-dimensional and the female protagonist puts herself into situations where she leaves readers wanting her to die!. Please someone tell me why (if you've read it) this book is so good!. Give me reason to continue with the series!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it's mostly because people are suffering from Post-Potter Syndrome and all!.!.!. They're jumping on the first 'still coming out' 500+ page book they can get their hands on!. And their all tweens who don't know the difference between true love and s3x appeal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because the idea appeals to certain readers for whatever reason!. Simple as that!.

Personally, I like Twilight, but I don't love it!. Bella and Edward are just plain annoying and the plot is a cliche!. I only like it because of Jacob, Rosalie, the Volturi, and sometimes Emmett, Alice, and Carlisle!.

Well because for me, im a sucker for a good love story, and ever girl wishes to be her!. Falling in love with the hottest boy, and finding out that he is a vampire!. and everyone else is dying to find out if she is going to turn into a vampire!. and there was a plot, i guess, that james was after here and stuff and juunk!. but if its not ur type of book, t hen dont read it!. i guess its not for everyone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't believe that you don't like it to start off with but !.!.!.!.IT is amazing you have to keep reading it!!You can't stop after one book or even two because the plot is within all three soon to be four!!!It is addicted but my mom was going to read it and she stopped!. I think it' so popular, because it gives every girl hope!. u know, that maybe out there somewhere is a nice guy!.!.!. one that cares about YOU and wants to help you!. I think while girls read it, they can forget about how mean a lot of real guys are (not saying that all guys are mean, almost all of my best friends are guys!! ) Even though it's not true and Bella is soooooo annoying, i love it!! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

As far as the asker of this question "not being able to get a guy", that's probably her whole problem: She can!. I haven't read all the way through, but I'm currently living out my own love story!. And, reading about how Bella is so superficially in love with Edward's looks isn't appealing to me!.
