Question: Can i use this name!?!?/!?

if i am writing a story about soccer (uk)

can i use the league names (premiership, championship, league 1 etc) or do i have to make up names for these leagues

Definitely make them up to avoid copyright problems !.ie
Westford United or Donchester Albion or Markham Rovers!. The suffixes are not copyright but the full names of real teams may very well beWww@QuestionHome@Com

I suppose you can if the story is about these clubs in a good way!. I think you can talk about Manchester, Chelsea, Liverpool and the bunch!.!.!.
If it's a fiction, I suggest you create everything (take the safeside)!. But have your creations parallel stuff that are real so in if your agent suggests you use real names, you can easily flip them!.!.!.

I think it's okay to use those names!. But if you are thinking about getting this published, you might have to change the names!.!.!. but even then, I think it's okay!. It's more of just a copyright issue!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if u want to use copyrighted names u have to have permission from the copyright holder!.
