You'd probably enjoy Jane Smiley's Moo!. Come to think of it those two books have a lot more in common than just being faculty oriented campus novels!. Definitely check that one out!.
I'm sorry, Moo is such a perfect fit that it seems to have knocked everything else out of my head!. If I think of more I'll edit later!. also, if you haven't already, read Russo's other stuff!. It's all good, but Nobody's Fool is pure genius!.
