Question: Any recommendations for a YA book i could use for my summer assignment!?

for our summer assignment, i have to read a book and annotate it, listing the simlies, metaphors, and imagery (sight, sound, touch, etc!.)

is there a good book that has lots of description and stuff!?
i want kind of like a young adult book for teens!.

Try either: 'The Initiation' or 'The Strange Power', both by L J Smith!. They're both rich in imagery and as they are both the first in their respective trilogies, a lot of time is spent describing the main characters by way of imagery!.

I'd personally recommend 'The Initiation'!. Look at the comparisons with the Greek goddesses and the use of gemstones and colours to describe each character!. There's a lot of fire imagery used to describe the villain, Faye, which is fairly easy to pick up on and would look impressive in a report!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't use Twilight - the first 350+ pages are basically Bella and Edward falling in love, with EXCESSIVE descriptions of Edward's beauty, Bella's clumisiness, and Forks' lousy weather!.

Then again, if you have the patience required, that might be just the book you're looking for!.!.!. it's sure got lots of description!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A Perfect Snow by Nora Martin is filled with similes, metaphors, and imagery!. The book is about a teenage boy who is struggling to fit in a new town and makes some bad choices!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
